Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis and Management Reporting (60%): Provides recommendations for increased efficiency for reporting and processes. Assists in developing education and training tools on management reporting.
  • Budget Preparation and Maintenance (20%): Prepares budget templates and tools under direction of Financial Controller. Monitors, completes tasks and meets deadlines in the budget calendar and work plan.
  • Other Projects – Business Support/Reporting/Financial Systems (20%): Assist with project reporting and grant applications. Membership of project teams to identify issues and recommend solutions related to financial impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Formal Education: Enrollment towards an accredited accounting designation (CPA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in accounting setting required with experience budgeting and financial analysis. Experience in medium to large not-for-profit environment desired.
  • Special Knowledge/ Other Relevant Skills: Thorough working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required. Ability to handle inquiries and assignments with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality required.
