Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Liberty Tax Service. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks, wide area networks, mainframe networks, and computer workstations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining accurate control records.
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, optimizing server performance and ensuring data integrity.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education in a relevant field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in network administration and technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of networking software, security protocols, and Internet technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and organizational skills.
