Job Title: Computer Network Technician

We are seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Liberty Tax Service.

Job Summary:

The Computer Network Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. This role will also involve evaluating and installing computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software, as well as providing problem-solving services to network users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and efficient interpersonal skills.
