Job Description
The Material Handler will play a key role in maintaining production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; as well as staging finished product for all locations across Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Pulling Orders: Identify, pull and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintaining Inventory: Label, place materials and supplies in stock; record location of inventory.
- Delivering Materials: Deliver and open materials and supplies at work centers.
- Packing and Shipping: Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Daily Operations: Complete pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment; make operator repairs as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working within a Management Resource Planning System.
- Forklift license required.
- Strong ability to collaborate in a team environment, exchange ideas and have conversations.
- Ability to think on feet and troubleshoot small problems as they arise.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
