Job Title: Payroll Manager

About the Role

Nutreco, a leading global provider of innovative aquafeed solutions and animal nutrition, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join its HR Services hub. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the Payroll team and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all payroll transactions and queries for all entities across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Payroll team and provide guidance on compliance and data quality activities;
  • Monitor team performance to ensure goals and service levels are met;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and compliance;
  • Manage payroll-related projects and act as a subject matter expert on HR/Finance projects;
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, HR managers, and CoE managers to facilitate the rollout of new payroll policies and procedures;
  • Ensure effective controls are in place to meet audit requirements and process findings from audit reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field;
  • 10 years of relevant payroll experience and 3-5 years of management experience;
  • Excellent communication and written skills in English, with French and Spanish proficiency an asset;
  • Industry payroll designation, such as PCP or CPM, preferred;
  • Knowledge of US, Canadian, and Quebec Provincial legislation;
  • Experience with ADP, Ceridian, and Workday, with a focus on payroll automation and digitalization;
  • Payroll audit management and sound judgment in planning and execution of payroll tasks;
  • People management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
