Job Description

Role Overview

Nutreco, a leading global provider of innovative aquafeed solutions and animal nutrition, is seeking an experienced Bilingual Payroll Manager to lead the Payroll team in its HR Services hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance, and team development within the Payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent, correct, and timely execution of all Payroll transactions and queries for all entities across North America, in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policies, and local legislation/regulations.
  • Facilitate the rollout of new Payroll policies and procedures on a local or regional level, involving input on new functionality to the Workday technical team, external Payroll vendors (ADP & Ceridian), and employee training.
  • Interact with local HR business partners, HR managers, CoE managers, Workday technical team, and communications specialists to ensure effective communication and process improvement.
  • Monitor team performance, ensure compliance/data quality, and provide guidance to team members.
  • Manage the Payroll team within allocated budget and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/finance, HR, or a relevant field.
  • 10 years of relevant payroll experience and 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Verbal communication and written skills in English and French are required.
  • Industry payroll designation (PCP or CPM) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with US, Canadian, and Quebec Provincial Legislation.
  • Experience in complex statutory deductions, multiple payroll cycles, and high-volume payroll processing.
  • Experience with ADP, Ceridian, and/or Workday is an asset.
