Job Summary:

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Senior Terrestrial Biologist to join our team in Ontario. As a key member of our Planning and Ecological Services Group, you will work closely with our internal teams and external clients to deliver high-quality ecological assessments and monitoring services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field investigations and data collection, including biological surveys, impact assessments, and mitigation planning.
  • Develop and review technical reports, proposals, and project plans.
  • Manage project workloads, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Assist with proposal development, budgeting, and invoicing.
  • Lead and assist with project management and coordination of ecological services work.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Private sector or consulting experience.
  • Post-secondary education in environmental science, biology, ecology, forestry, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Ontario flora and fauna, including identification and habitat requirements.
  • Experience with permits and approvals under various acts and regulations.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS software and excellent written and oral communication skills.
