About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for assisting and learning from the Maintenance Team Lead in overseeing a team of technicians in the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance for assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Assist the Maintenance Team Lead by overseeing the duties completed by other technicians, motivating, inspiring, and demonstrating excellent work ethics.
  • Job Planning and Allocation: Allocate monthly Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) job plans to ensure completion following new in completion expectations of 90% by week 3.
  • Customer Service: Manage customer service, using the Service Request and Response Process (SRRP), and identify team members for service calls and job plans to improve service satisfaction.
  • Accountabilities: Oversee the proper application and execution of processes and practices to ensure achievement of and adherence to all requirements.
  • Facility Monitoring and Maintenance: Oversee and maintain all assigned tools, arrange for repair and replacement where required, and submit all expenditures on a timely basis.
  • Technical Duties: Complete the submission of ODP tags to CMMS, manage the Legionella Bacteria Control and Monitoring Program (LBCMP) in buildings, and troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: College Diploma/Certification required.
  • Experience: Five (5+) years of relevant experience working in HVAC, Property Management, or equivalent.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous people leadership experience, preferred.
  • Skills: Mentoring skills required to support lower-level technician development, ability to motivate and help with direction within a team, strong ability to adhere to processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance, and highly-advanced building mechanical and electrical equipment and system troubleshooting and resolution skills.
