About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fresh Prep. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of various systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance and repair needs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing filters, lubricating equipment, and inspecting fire safety systems
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to minimize disruption to operations
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues, such as leaks, HVAC, and equipment malfunctions
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and equipment maintenance logs
  • Monitor and maintain the safety of common areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a facilities and maintenance technician or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repair techniques for facility-related issues
  • Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members, contractors, and vendors
