Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting our high standards.
- Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, newcomers, and refugees.
- Employee Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities and youth.
- Business Operations: Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer feedback, and provide regular reports to management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service or restaurant management role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
