We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Enhanced Care in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs in collaboration with medical professionals and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessing and planning resident care needs in consultation with medical professionals and care conferences
- Providing leadership to health services staff and overseeing the provision of quality health services
- Working with management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance with policies and procedures
- Administering and recording prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice
- Maintaining accurate and complete documentation and reporting
- Applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy
- Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and has a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
- Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments (an asset)
