Job Title: Quality Improvement Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Director to join our team at Banwell Gardens Care Centre. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our internal Quality Improvement program and ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the Quality Program and Resident Quality Inspection process
  • Develop and submit the Annual HQO Quality Improvement plan and Progress report
  • Lead the internal Quality Team Meetings
  • Train new staff on the RQI process and Resident/Family and Employee Surveys
  • Utilize the Health Quality Ontario website for resources
  • Participate in and implement learning to develop emotional self-awareness and a person-centred approach
  • Demonstrate understanding of performance measurement, SMART goals, and program evaluation skills
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and facilitating teams on use of lean models for quality improvement projects
  • Ensure that all quality management and risk management related activities are reviewed and discussed
  • Monitor quality indicators on the public website of CIHI and Your Health System
Requirements:
  • Registered health professional licensed under the Health Disciplines Act
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health care practices, trends, and issues in long-term care
  • Proven management experience in LTC
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Quality/Risk Management philosophies and programs
  • Master trained in Resident/Family and Employee Surveys/Resident Quality Inspection process
  • Good understanding of the RAI-MDS 2.0 process and CIHI's indicators
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications and applicable legislation
  • Positive working attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
