Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Ensure that all food and kitchen supplies are stored and handled in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
- Quality Control and Customer Service
- Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
- Administrative and Financial Tasks
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory management, labor costs, and customer feedback.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Education and Experience
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Fast-paced environment with high pressure to meet customer demands.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
- Flexibility, initiative, and dependability, with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
