About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Technical Cloud Operations to join our team at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the health and reliability of our cloud infrastructure and production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, operate, and own overall technical relationships between multiple organizational stakeholders.
  • Provide insight and support into the operations and implementation of new initiatives to continue to drive efficiency.
  • Manage a team of reliability engineers and ensure clear lines of communication with engineering teams, business partners, technical and operational teams, and peer architects in other departments.
  • Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for cloud solutions, migrations, greenfield applications, and cloud-native deployments for medium and large enterprises.
  • Define technical milestones and develop CAPEX/OPEX cost models with an emphasis on cloud maturity modeling.
Requirements
  • 12 or more years of experience as an architect or lead engineer, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and/or managing an operations team.
  • Deep expertise and a track record of managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the Azure, AWS, or IBM platforms and a deep understanding of cloud computing (network infrastructure, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud delivery models).
  • Ability to design and implement strategic roadmaps for cloud solutions, migrations, greenfield applications, and cloud-native deployments for medium and large enterprises.
  • Knowledge of cloud development groups, configuration management, and cloud operations best practices.
  • Ability to ensure clear lines of communication with engineering teams, business partners, technical and operational teams, and peer architects in other departments.
