About the Role:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker for Vulnerable Populations to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, youth, and adults living in our Specialized Supportive Housing in Quesnel. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining healthy relationships with our Persons Served through a trauma-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to Persons Served, promoting a positive and healthy environment that fosters their growth and development.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to support daily life skills development, educational, social, and recreational goals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in trauma-informed practice.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years' experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license.
  • Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered).
