Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Dengarry Professional Services Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual, learning, mental health, and physical disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Support Worker will work in a group home setting, providing assistance with daily living activities, household chores, and personal care. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing individualized support plans, ensuring the client's needs are met and their rights are respected.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and care to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help with household chores, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet client needs
  • Ensure client rights are respected and their dignity is maintained
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client care plans
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Mandt System training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
