Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals and snacks to residents and guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that dietary restrictions and preferences are met, and that food is presented in an attractive and appetizing way.
  • Maintain a clean and safe food preparation environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Dining Services Manager and other team members to achieve our goal of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our dining services meet the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in large volume food cooking, preparation, and plating techniques.
  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program is preferred.
  • Valid regional safe food handler's certificate and alcohol serving certificate required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
