Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the Fraser Valley region. As a Pediatrician with Fraser Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing high-quality care to children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients from birth to 19 years old, including general medical problems, social and developmental issues, behavior and mental health concerns, learning difficulties, and school-related problems.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a holistic, multidisciplinary pediatric service that meets the unique needs of our community.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including family physicians, specialists, and community agencies, to provide seamless care to patients and families.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our pediatric program, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 coverage for acute pediatric care, including emergency room consultations and pediatric observation unit care.
Requirements
  • Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
  • Board certification in Pediatrics (FRCPC) or equivalent.
  • Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality patient care and continuous learning.
