We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Quality Improvement Lead to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to physicians and other healthcare providers on quality and patient safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Local Site Leadership: Serve as a lead or advisor for physician-driven quality improvement projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Department: Work with the clinical quality and patient safety department, senior leadership, department leaders, regional leaders, and support systems to establish patient care models that are evidence-based and increase the safety of patients, clinicians, and other staff.
- Identify Quality Improvement Learning Needs: Participate in educational activities aimed at developing physician skills in clinical quality and patient safety.
- Support Physician-Related Quality Reviews: Model and encourage open and honest communication between physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide Expertise to Critical Incident/Quality Review Process: Identify recommendations and follow-up actions to improve clinical quality and patient safety.
- Medical Degree: Must have a medical degree and be licensed to practice medicine in British Columbia.
- Leadership Experience: Must have experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Quality Improvement Knowledge: Must have knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
