Job Summary
The City of Ottawa's Long Term Care Services is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager, Quality Care to provide expertise and guidance to LTC Services staff in quality management, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practices.
As a key member of the team, you will lead and monitor a data-driven quality framework in LTC for performance management and quality improvement outcomes. Your responsibilities will include supporting the accreditation cycle, evaluating required programs, and developing strategies to promote continuous quality improvement for care to residents and safety of staff.
Key qualifications include a 4-year university degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in LTC practices, programs, and evaluation. Certification in planning and evaluation is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and guidance to LTC Services staff in quality management, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practices.
- Lead and monitor a data-driven quality framework in LTC for performance management and quality improvement outcomes.
- Support the accreditation cycle, evaluating required programs, and developing strategies to promote continuous quality improvement for care to residents and safety of staff.
- Manage the unit's human and financial resources, and stakeholder and partner relationships as required.
Requirements
- 4-year university degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in LTC practices, programs, and evaluation.
- Certification in planning and evaluation is desirable.
