At Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Device Reprocessing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of reusable medical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Reprocess reusable medical devices and equipment to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to strict guidelines and standards set by organizations such as CSA, PIDAC, and MDRAO.
- Collaborate with the Medical Device Reprocessing team to ensure efficient and effective reprocessing of medical devices and equipment.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of medical device reprocessing procedures and protocols.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- At least one year of recent and relevant experience in medical device reprocessing.
- Valid CMDRT certificate or recognized medical device reprocessing college course with placement.
- Basic understanding of microbiology, quality control, and aseptic technique.
- Strong knowledge of instrument tracking and material management software.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
