Job Summary

The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician will be responsible for reprocessing reusable medical devices and equipment, scopes, and supplies in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work in a rotation through all shifts and areas, including Endoscopy/Cystoscopy, Surgery Treatment Clinic, and Medical Device Reprocessing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reprocess reusable medical devices and equipment, scopes, and supplies
  • Work in a rotation through all shifts and areas
  • Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Collaborate with the Medical Device Reprocessing team to achieve quality and efficiency goals

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Education or equivalent
  • Recognized Medical Device Reprocessing College Course with placement, MDRAO Techniques Course, or Valid CMDRT Certificate
  • At least one year of recent and relevant MDRD/Scope Reprocessing experience
  • Basic understanding of Microbiology, Quality Control process, and ability to deliver high-quality results
  • Basic data entry and computer knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of instrument tracking and material management software
  • Ability to lift 11.3kg/25lbs regularly, push/pull heavy carts, stand, and walk for long periods
  • Ability to rotate through all shifts and positions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate commitment to ethical accountability
