BMO Building Security Job Summary

This casual-part-time position involves providing asset and loss protection through crime prevention, emergency response, and monitoring compliance with security and safety policies. The successful candidate will achieve exceptional customer service by promoting security initiatives.

Scheduled hours may range from 0 to 40 per week, depending on operational needs. Multiple positions are available for this competition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incident investigations, resolve, and report.
  • Respond to civil, criminal, medical, safety, and fire incidents.
  • Audit and monitor compliance with security and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, medical, fire, and other agencies.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, and other security software.
  • Perform walking patrols for unauthorized personnel, insecurities, or faults.
  • Maintain knowledge of current events and activities at Stampede Park.
  • Promote a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Current Alberta Solicitor General Security License.
  • Excellent investigative, interviewing, and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional report writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate/advanced computer skills with MS Office and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated with independent work capabilities.
Working Conditions:
  • Ongoing lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent repetitive arm, hand, finger, and foot movements.
  • Occasional carrying up to 30-40 lbs.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, gases, odours, animal dander, hazardous chemicals, and changes in temperature.
