Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at D&G Logistics Inc. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Will train

Work Environment: This is an on the road job with a permanent schedule. The working hours are 50 hours per week and the language of work is English.
