Food Service Manager

Humpty's Family Restaurant is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our financial means.
- Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate data to inform our business decisions.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, ensuring that we are meeting our business objectives.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, standing for extended periods, physically demanding, attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, dependability.
30 to 40 hours per week, permanent position.
English is the primary language of communication in this role.
