">Job Overview
">We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Design Specialist to join our Canadian Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both design and manufacturing engineering, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
">Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Design and develop innovative products for various clients, utilizing CAD software and other tools as required;">
- Support prototype and production component manufacture by providing schematics, CNC programming, and manufacturing documentation;">
- Lead manufacturing readiness reviews, including facilities specification and implementation, process design, and standard operating procedures;">
- Assist in the training of manufacturing personnel and support safe, healthy, and environmentally sound working practices;">
- Maintain accurate engineering released bills of materials;">
- Work towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the Manufacturing Engineering team and manage performance-related problem-solving;">
- Create, check, and review CAD and detailed designs;">
- Support first-off and prototype builds, as well as transitions into full production;">
Requirements:
">- ">
- Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field;">
- Experience working in a variety of operational environments in a relevant manufacturing industry;">
- Proficient with 3D CAD modelling and design software, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing;">
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;">
- Prior experience with tooling design, design for manufacturability, and jig and fixture design a plus;">
- Certifications or qualifications in welding, machining, and fabrication desirable;">
- Familiarity with composite materials and manufacturing processes advantageous;">
- Knowledge of ballistic steel properties and manufacturing best practices beneficial;">
