Job Title: Head Chef

Chuan Xiang Hui Food Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Job Summary:
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the company's quality standards and customer preferences.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and control food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and functions.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading a kitchen team and achieving high-quality results.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
