Job Description

The AML Investigator role is a pivotal component of our Financial Crimes team. As a highly analytical hunter, you'll identify events that constitute true financial crime, provide relevant documentation to FINTRAC and law enforcement, and help prevent financial crimes in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct timely reviews of customer transactions and account activities flagged by our systems and internal teams.
  • Identify potential unusual activities and make informed decisions on the best course of action, including drafting and filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
  • Utilize knowledge of regulations and typologies to complete investigations of multiple cases a day and maintain accurate and succinct documentation of your investigations.
  • Identify gaps in Neo's ecosystem that may present increased financial crime risk.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the Canadian financial crime landscape to identify emerging threats to Neo.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting complex AML investigations.
  • Ability to analyze and understand data quickly and identify patterns.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey findings concisely to stakeholders, both written and orally.
  • Relationship building skills to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and programs.
