Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager, Platform Solutions to join our Technology - Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the team, including career and performance management. You will also be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions using SharePoint, Power Platform, and/or Intelligent Automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management
    • Manage the daily activities of the team, including career and performance management
  • Solution Architecture
    • Architect, design, and implement solutions using SharePoint, Power Platform, and/or Intelligent Automation
  • Commitment Management
    • Take ownership of commitments to the business and ensure successful delivery
  • Collaboration
    • Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and the Architecture team to frame, assess, and deliver solutions
  • Strategic Direction
    • Work with the Director of Software Development to set the strategic direction of the team and identify opportunities to drive value for the organization
  • Inter-Team Collaboration
    • Connect and collaborate with other development teams, architecture, QA, and the data team to deliver on business functionality and mature our overall development practices
  • Scrum Ceremonies
    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Code Reviews
    • Conduct code reviews to provide constructive feedback to other developers and ensure we maintain our course regarding architecture, security, and other critical elements
  • Process Improvement
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Technical Investigations
    • Perform technical investigations (Proof of Concepts, analyses, etc) to assess technology risk and feasibility

Requirements

  • Technical Leadership Experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership position (managing a team of three or more) and interacting with stakeholders
  • Technical Skills
    • At least 5 years of experience with SharePoint, Dynamics, Power Platform, and/or UiPath
  • Additional Skills
    • Experience implementing.NET domain services would be considered an asset
    • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL Databases, such as Cosmos
    • Solid working knowledge of Azure
    • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, is required
