Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to physicians and medical staff, including answering phones, greeting patients, and registering them for appointments.
  • Manage patient records, including scanning documents into electronic medical records and maintaining accurate and up-to-date files.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, sending reminders, and preparing patient charts.
  • Assist with clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and escorting them to treatment rooms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including exam and treatment rooms, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager or other senior staff members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office assistant qualification an asset.
  • Recent customer service experience and excellent communication skills required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and medical terminology an asset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with the Health Information Act.
