Job Title: Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultant

Work Site: Lions Gate Hospital

Status: Permanent

Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service (FFS)

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to practice as an Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultant (Gastroenterology Hospitalist) at Lion's Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing acute inpatient gastroenterology consultations, including emergency and urgent inpatient endoscopy. This position does not include any elective outpatient endoscopy provisions or privileges.

Qualifications:
  • Education, Licensing, & Experience:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Desired
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology or equivalent - Mandatory
  • Endoscopy Skills - Mandatory
  • ERCP/EUS skills - an asset
