Opportunity Overview:

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Gastroenterologist to practice as an Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultant (Gastroenterology Hospitalist) at Lion's Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acute inpatient gastroenterology consultations, including emergency and urgent inpatient endoscopy
  • Responsibilities do not include elective outpatient endoscopy provisions or privileges

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Desired
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology or equivalent - Mandatory
  • Endoscopy Skills - Mandatory
  • ERCP/EUS skills an asset
