Job Description

As a Fire Equipment Servicing Professional, you will be responsible for inspecting products to determine requirements for repair, repairing or replacing defective parts and components, testing and adjusting repaired products, and calibrating products using hand tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy, Non-smoking
  • Work Setting: Repair, Rural area, Service, On-site customer service
  • Tasks:
    • Inspect products to determine requirements for repair
    • Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components
    • Test and adjust repaired products
    • Calibrate products using hand tools
  • Area of Specialization: Mechanical
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Bondable, Driver's validity licence check, Eligible for professional liability insurance, Basic security clearance
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver's licence
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
