Fire Equipment Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Equipment Servicer to join our team at Foster's Fire & Safety Ltd. as an Industrial Repair Specialist.
Job OverviewThis is a permanent full-time position, working 85 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Industrial Repair Specialist will be responsible for inspecting and repairing fire equipment, including pumps, tanks, and hoses. This will involve:
- Inspecting products to determine requirements for repair
- Repairing or replacing defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools
- Testing and adjusting repaired products for proper functioning
- Calibrating products using hand tools
The successful candidate will also be required to maintain accurate records of repairs and tests performed.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Will train on the job
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
The Industrial Repair Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dusty and noisy conditions.
