Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological services to clients in a variety of settings, including individual and group therapy, assessment, and consultation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with mental health issues, including anxiety and mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance misuse
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide consultation and education to clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Develop and maintain client records, including progress notes and psychological reports
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities
- Conduct research and participate in clinical teaching and supervision
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university
- Two years of recent experience in therapeutic, diagnostic, and consultation services in mental health and addiction services
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or registration within one year of employment
- Knowledge of psychological assessment, including semi-structured diagnostic assessment
- Knowledge of therapeutic, diagnostic, and consultation techniques
- Knowledge of treatment, assessment, and management of anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and psychological trauma
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation methodology
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and substance abuse and addictions issues and treatment
- Knowledge of adult education principles, methods, and tools
- Knowledge of other healthcare disciplines and their role in client care
- Knowledge of evidenced-based psychological practice
