We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to our clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based approaches
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical and emotional needs of clients
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive client records, including progress notes and treatment plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided to clients
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or registration with the College within one year of employment
- Two years of recent experience in therapeutic, diagnostic, and consultation services in mental health and addiction services
- Knowledge of psychological assessment, including semi-structured diagnostic assessment
- Knowledge of therapeutic, diagnostic, and consultation techniques
- Knowledge of treatment, assessment, and management of anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and psychological trauma
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation methodology
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology (indications and side-effects) and substance abuse and addictions issues and treatment
- Knowledge of adult education principles, methods, and tools
- Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care
- Knowledge of evidenced-based psychological practice
