Landscape Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Worker to join our team at GREEN CITY LANDSCAPING & YARD CARE LTD. As a key member of our outdoor workforce, you will be responsible for maintaining our clients' properties, ensuring their lawns and gardens look their best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Cut grass, rake, and collect refuse to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and apply fertilizers to promote healthy growth.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
Work Environment:

As a Landscape Worker, you will work outdoors in various locations, including private residences and landscape maintenance settings. You will be exposed to wet/damp conditions, odours, dust, and hot temperatures.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and handle heavy loads.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Will train on the job.
Workplace Information:

This is a permanent, on-the-road job with a 32-hour workweek. The primary language of work is English.
