Job Title: Student Supervision Assistant

Job Summary:

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Student Supervision Assistant to provide general supervision and monitoring of students during nutrition breaks. The ideal candidate will possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to act quickly to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general supervision and monitoring of students during nutrition breaks
  • Assist students to open lunch containers and wipe hands and tables after eating
  • Supervise students during recesses
  • Supervise in kindergarten classrooms

Requirements:

  • Ability to act quickly to emergencies
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Tact, diplomacy, and discretion in interactions within the school community
  • First Aid and Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training an asset

Working Conditions:

The Student Supervision Assistant will work in a school setting, providing supervision and support to students during nutrition breaks and other designated times. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
