About the Role


As a Governance Framework Specialist at BMO, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's governance framework, ensuring it is effective, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and maintain the governance framework, including policies, guidelines, and procedures;
  • Provide strategic input into business decisions, leveraging expertise in governance and risk management;
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Lead the development of communication strategies to influence stakeholder behavior and promote positive change;
  • Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues that may impact the governance framework.

Qualifications



  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in governance, risk management, or a related field;
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Proven expertise in governance, risk management, and compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and promote positive change;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
