Microsoft is dedicated to empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. As part of our Feeds & Verticals organization, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Data Insights Manager to join our Growth and Analytics team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, statistics, and machine learning, with experience working in cross-functional teams to design and implement recommendation algorithms that drive content consumption for publishing partners. They will be responsible for evaluating performance metrics, analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends, and developing self-service dashboards and reports using reporting platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Algorithm Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement recommendation algorithms that improve content consumption for publishing partners.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and content performance, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Business Modeling: Conduct business modeling to identify growth opportunities and initiate projects with a positive long-term ROI.
  • A/B Testing: Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate algorithm performance and propose iterative improvements based on results.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years' experience in data analysis in cross-functional product teams creating measurements and dashboards, 2+ years customer-facing project-delivery experience, professional services, and/or consulting experience.

This role offers a competitive salary range of CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year, commensurate with experience.
