We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Analytics team at Amazon. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that power our business shaping insights.

About the Analytics Team: Our Analytics team is a central group within the AWS Support organization, comprising members with diverse skill sets, including strategy & planning, Machine Learning / predictive analytics, and Business Intelligence. We drive innovation by pushing Product, Process, and Customer understanding beyond the present to create long-term value.

About the Role: If you're passionate about driving critical thinking and insight into complex problems, working closely with leaders to turn those insights into actionable strategies, this role is for you. As a hands-on Data Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of customer/business problems across the spectrum, from ideation to implementation, in partnership with stakeholder teams.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $76,400-$127,600 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to salary, total compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation.
