About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Liquor Store Associate to join our team at Otter Co-op. As a Liquor Store Associate, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service to our guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, as well as activate gift cards
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and balancing of the register drawer at the end of each shift
  • Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves to maintain a visually appealing and well-organized store environment
  • Receive, inspect, and put away deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store and storage areas, adhering to company standards
  • Utilize product knowledge to promote sales and suggest products to guests
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence

Requirements:



  • Liquor retail experience is an asset
  • Serving It Right certification is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving and adaptability are essential
  • WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required within the first year of employment
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and stand for full 8-hour shifts
  • Commitment to a SAFE working environment
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
  • Able to work at multiple locations as business needs arise
