Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Healthcare Security Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a licensed Security Guard as per the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act.
Job SummaryThis position involves maintaining a physical presence within the health facility to provide protection of life and property. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining law and order in coordination with law enforcement or other agencies as necessary at PMH owned or operated sites.
Main Responsibilities- Maintains a physical presence within the health facility to provide for the protection of life and property.
- Maintenance of law and order in coordination with law enforcement or other agencies as necessary at PMH owned or operated sites.
- Cooperates with all other staff to produce a harmonious working relationship throughout Prairie Mountain Health.
- Provides response to situations that may pose a threat to the safety or security of persons in or around PMH designated sites or properties.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Licence to practice as a Security Officer (Guard) in the province of Manitoba.
- Proficiency with handheld radios or radio communications devices.
- Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Able to display professional and sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work alone or without direct supervision in a high-stress environment.
