About the Role

Culbert's Bakery Ltd. is seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for a variety of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough, batters, and icings according to recipes or special customer orders, ensuring high-quality products that meet our established standards.
  • Maintenance and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are properly stored and within reach.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and manage inventory levels, ensuring we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery, such as mixers and ovens, to prepare and bake a variety of products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Confined spaces, noisy, and hot work environments.
  • Work Setting: Bake shop.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and working under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, reliability, team player, patience, and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
