Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial First Aid Attendant to join our team at Trojan Safety. As an Industrial First Aid Attendant, you will play a critical role in providing emergency response to crews in the event of an injury, illness, or emergency situation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain current certifications and training in first aid, CPR, and other safety protocols.
  • Provide first aid and emergency response services to workers as needed.
  • Collect and maintain confidential patient medical information.
  • Make transport decisions for injured workers to healthcare facilities.
  • Familiarize yourself with WCB documentation, OH&S regulations, and first aid reports.
  • Maintain proper headcount of personnel on location.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure all personnel have proper documentation.
  • Follow all Health and Safety rules and operate company vehicles and equipment safely.

As an Industrial First Aid Attendant, you must possess certain character traits, including:

  • Practicality and patience.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to relate to a wide range of individuals.
  • Extreme safety consciousness and ability to remain calm in emergencies.
Physical Requirements

Due to the nature of the position, you must:

  • Possess and maintain a reasonable level of fitness.
  • Have good observation skills.
  • Be able to work long hours, including day and night shifts.
  • Have normal color vision, as many safety systems are color-coded.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and current Driver's Abstract.
  • Common Safety Orientation.
  • H2S Alive certification.
  • WHIMIS and TDG training.
  • Current Provincial Governing Body Registration.

This is a safety-sensitive position, and the candidate must complete and clear a pre-employment drug test.
