Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OFA/EMR Medic to join our team at Trojan Safety. As an Industrial First Aid Attendant, you will play a critical role in providing emergency response to crews in the event of an injury, illness, or emergency situation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain current certifications and training in first aid, CPR, and other relevant areas.
  • Provide first aid and emergency response services to workers as needed.
  • Collect and maintain confidential patient medical information.
  • Make transport decisions for injured workers to healthcare facilities.
  • Familiarize yourself with WCB documentation, OH&S regulations, and first aid reports.
  • Maintain proper headcount of personnel on location.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure all personnel have proper documentation.
  • Follow all Health and Safety rules and operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
Character Traits
  • Confident and responsible in emergency situations.
  • Practical and patient in dealing with workers.
  • Ability to relate to a wide range of individuals.
  • Extremely safety conscious and able to remain calm in emergencies.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Possess and maintain a reasonable level of fitness.
  • Have good observation skills and normal color vision.
  • Be able to work long hours, including day and night shifts.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and current Driver's Abstract.
  • Common Safety Orientation, H2S Alive, WHIMIS, TDG, and Provincial Governing Body Registration.

This is a safety-sensitive position, and the candidate must complete and clear a pre-employment drug test.
