Job Opportunity

CIMA+ is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Civil Engineer Intern. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in the heavy industrial sector.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct site visits to document existing conditions on greenfield and brownfield projects.
  2. Assist in the detailed design and analysis of civil and structural elements for heavy industrial sites.
  3. Participate in the review and markup of detailed drawings for designers and drafters.
  4. Collaborate with engineers to develop construction documents, including scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules.
  5. Be involved in projects from kick-off to completion of construction and commissioning.
Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $22.50 to $28.00, depending on their academic profile and experience. Additional benefits include:

  • Air travel to and from Labrador City will be provided at the start and end of the work term.
  • A company vehicle will be provided at the start and end of the work term (shared).
  • Accommodations will be provided in Labrador West.
  • A per diem amount will be provided.
Requirements
  1. Student currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively.
  3. A valid Canadian Driver's License is required.
  4. Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test).
