Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain automated dispensing units, ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
  • Restock and manage inventory of medications and supplies, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, including compounding and labeling.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized college-level Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Pursuing registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a pharmacy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
