Job Description

Job Title: Civil Bridge Engineer Project Manager

Job Summary: PartnerStaffing is currently working with our client seeking a skilled Civil Bridge Engineer Project Manager to join the Infrastructure team in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage bridge construction projects from initiation to closeout ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
  • Manage project resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and budget analyses to stakeholders and management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. Designation is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on bridge construction projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing bridge construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets and manage project resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques with a focus on bridge construction.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of project delivery.
