The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of bridge construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful project delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage bridge construction projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and budget analyses to stakeholders and management.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. Designation is required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on bridge construction projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing bridge construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage project resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on bridge construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of project delivery.
